Threads Of Us is a series that tells us the stories of Singapore’s journey through five ordinary objects that hold extraordinary meaning. Revealing how everyday items bind us together through shared history, resilience, and hope. It is part of the “Our Singapore, Our Stories” campaign.
About the campaign: The "Our Singapore, Our Stories" campaign is a meaningful SG60 initiative that celebrates and supports local storytellers. It was designed with the intention to empower creatives by providing them with greater autonomy over their vision and the resources to bring their stories to life. This initiative provides meaningful support, recognising the complex nature of the modern creative industry.
The 150 short-form videos represent the dedicated work of skilled creative professionals: actors, writers, directors, cinematographers, editors, sound designers, and more. The quality visible on screen reflects what becomes possible when local talent receives proper support to practice and refine their work.
Storytelling helps us understand ourselves and each other. In today's fragmented media landscape, creating accessible platforms that foster diverse Singaporean voices is crucial. This initiative is led by the Association of Independent Producers (AIPRO) and supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
